Global Exchange (NPL) opened its first branch in Jamaica on 16th November 2010, at the Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay.
After this first establishment in the country we continued our growth and expansion.
The following year, on 15th March 2011, we opened a new branch at the Norman Manley International Airport.
The Jamaican dollar is the legal tender in Jamaica since 1969.
The abbreviated signs for the Jamaican dollar are $, J $ or JA $ in order to distinguish it from the US dollar and other dollars such as the Canadian dollar.
Before 1969, the official currency of Jamaica was the pound sterling.
