Bethlehem Moravian College
Is a 150 Years old Educational Institution. It was founded by the Moravian Church as a teacher training Institution for females. Presently it is a Multidisciplinary co-head Institution.
Bethlehem Moravian College was established in 1861 at Bethabara in Newport, Manchester, by the Moravian Church in Jamaica. It began with the expressed intention of training female teachers. The institution started with three (3) students and was administered by the Minister of the congregation. The buildings, which housed the College, became dilapidated after a few years.
