Southern Fruits and Food Processors LTD was incorporated in Jamaica in 1989.

 

Our operations include the processing of ackee, mango nectar, carrot juice, tomato ketchup, jerk seasoning, jerk sauces, fruit & vegetable purees, crushed escallion and pepper mash.

 

These products are locally distributed under the company-owned Village Pride brand and exported to international markets under the Southern Fruits brand.

 

We also have private label agreements with some of the leading food distribution companies in the Caribbean.

​This processing plant has a favourable impact on the economic life of the population in surrounding parishes.

 

It employs approximately 70 permanent employees and provides a valuable outlet to farmers in five parishes as well as direct employment for one hundred 100 women during the ackee season.

 

Indirectly employment is also provided for another 200 who are engaged in the procurement of raw materials from the farmers and supplying them to the factory.

 

Our Company operates under the most rigorous quality standards.

 

We implement the HACCP programme of food safety management for all product lines and are FDA approved.
