The Academic Unit of the Jamaica Constabulary Staff College was established in 2001 out of a need to provide greater opportunity and training for working adults in central government, local government and statutory bodies including public corporations and executive agencies. Persons working in the private sector can also benefit from these programmes as they are diverse, dynamic and geared towards intellectual development in the chosen field of study and whilst facilitating exposure across other disciplines such as Political Science, Economics, Statistics, Sociology, Psychology, etc.
