The Embassy of Brazil in Kingston is responsible for bilateral relations between Brazil and Jamaica. For this purpose, fulfills the functions of representation and negotiation of Brazilian interests with the government and also with private institutions of the Caribbean country. The Embassy regularly organises actions of trade promotion and dissemination of the image and culture of Brazil in Jamaica. In addition, the Embassy coordinates major programmes within the scope of the technical cooperation provided by Brazil through the Brazilian Cooperation Agency - ABC in the fields of agriculture, education, health and planning, among others.
For Consular matters, the Embassy has jurisdiction over Jamaica and the Cayman Islands.
