Dr. I. G Anderson is the ‘Parish Veterinary Officer’ for St. Ann assigned by the 'Government of Jamaica,The Veterinary Division, Ministry of Agriculture & Fisheries.' Dr. Anderson is responsible for disease surveillance and its impact on the welfare of humans in St. Ann.
He keeps a close eye on the parish and its well being, as was the case of an outbreak of 'Brucellosis' (Bang's disease/Undulating fever) several years ago.
This was kept under control and has been successfully eradicated. Dr. Anderson generally handles these and other special cases.
His practice however presently focuses mainly on dogs and cats, facilitating their treatment and overall well-being.
