Dr Samuels is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon in the Department of Surgery at the University Hospital of the West Indies, and a Lecturer of Orthopaedics in the Faculty of Medical Sciences at the same institution.
He completed his MBBS in the year 2000, followed by his post-graduate D.M. Orthopaedics Degree both at the University of the West Indies.
Dr Samuels attained Australian Orthopaedic Association fellowship training in the subspecialties of hip and knee joint replacement and reconstruction, in Sydney, Melbourne and the Gold Coast of Australia.
He delivers cutting-edge surgical expertise in the management of general orthopaedic conditions, with a special focus on hip and knee joint replacements as well as complex and revision surgery.
This includes the anterior approach to hip replacements, one of the latest techniques in the field, which is minimally invasive and aids rapid patient recovery.
