Jamaica Volunteer Programs is a family run organization headed by the energetic and dynamic Maureen Wright-Evans. She is the author of the book “My Secret Jamaica Exposed” which guides volunteers and travelers to find the hidden sports and culture most people miss when they come to Jamaica

 

As a marketer and entrepreneur for over 30 years, Maureen brings to the organization a passion, joy and love for volunteering abroad.

 

At the age of 12 she her life changed forever when a couple from Canada vacationed in the tourist resort of San San Jamaica where her mother was a housekeeper. They wanted to adopt her but her mother would not have it so they invested in her education from high school to college

.

Today Maureen has devoted her life’s work to helping volunteers give life changing experiences to other children as she did. And the best part of her story is that her family now shares her passion for helping and changing lives
