Southern Trelawny Environmental Agency is a non profit organization. STEA's mission is to conserve the environment through projects in sustainable alternate livelihoods. Preservation of Cockpit Country is its main focus.

 

Overall STEA has done a myriad of projects in Trelawny which includes soil conservation, Trelawny Yam Festival, Maroon Memories under the moonlight ,Jamaica nights in Ulster Spring,

 

Early Childhood Enhancement Projects, Cockpit Country Adventure Tours, School Environmental Education Tours, Cockpit Country Community Education and Awareness Projects. With continuous assistance from our partners such as Environmental Foundation of Jamaica ,CB Facey, AGU,JSIF,

and the most important of stakeholders, the residents of Cockpit Country we intend to continue to facilitate the improvement of the lives of our people through sustainable development.
