The Jamaica Computer Society (JCS) is the society for ICT Professionals in Jamaica. The JCS promotes knowledge of the Information Communication Technology (ICT) industry and the effective and efficient utilization of IT for the benefit of all.

 

To facilitate exchange of information and views, the Society fosters networking links between ICT industry experts, IT professionals, academia, enterprise, and IT enthusiasts to encourage new thinking, education and career advancement opportunities.

 

The Society provides practical support to IT practitioners by encouraging continued professional development, to further advance the competence of ICT professionals in an effort to promote practices aligned to meet the demands of business.

 

Through collaboration with industry experts, government, relevant and respected certification bodies the Society strive to reposition itself as an authority within the ICT industry.

 

Influencing policies that establish codes of conduct, and working practices that allow IT to effectively contribute to social growth and development.
