Rex has been in operation for 48 years, currently producing over forty products increasing from two since its inception in 1965. Managing Director Cliff Hylton fulfilled his vision in the same year by publishing a “Learner- Drivers Guide”- known as The Jamaican Driver’s Guide.
The book holds relevant information about road safety and road code ethics, 1966 marked the birth of its counterpart, the Automobile Mechanical Questions and Answers that serves applicants requiring a general driver’s license.
It is being revised following technological advancements in the motor vehicle industry, now called “Automotive Technology Questions and Answers” these books are the only of their kind produced in Jamaica by a Jamaican.
Since the company expa nded into commercial printing and stationery manufacturing, our customer base broadened significantly.
