The Little Theatre was built on lands purchased from the Government of Jamaicaby the Little Theatre Movement with funds raised by the annual Pantomimes, and supplemented from donations from the public over the years. In September of 1961, the theatreopened its doors and has remained open since.
Over the years, various adjustments have been made to the structure bringing it into the twenty first century. The complex includes the Little Theatre, a fully functioning theatre with a fly tower. Adjoining is a smaller facility - The Little-Little Theatre, a studio-style performing space.
It is also home of the National Dance Theatre Company whose studios and office are located on the premises.
