Sips and Bites is an unpretentious family-run restaurant overlooking the sea on Negril's West-End road. The restaurant is one of the longest running in Negril, having been run by one family for over 20 years; all dishes are cooked to secret family recipes.
Sips and Bites specializes in traditional Jamaican meat and seafood dishes such as brown stewed fish, curried conch and ackee and salt-fish, all served with the traditional Jamaican accompaniments of rice and peas, dumplings, yams and calla-loo. The restaurant serves a daily special fruit juice, made on the premises from local seasonal fruit, some of which is picked from trees growing around the restaurant.
The prices at Sips and Bites are very affordable. This, along with the real Jamaican home-style cooking makes the restaurant a favorite for Negril locals as well as tourists and has helped Sips and Bites to become a long-time Negril institution.
