Our annual Football Summer Camps 1st Touch and Finishing Touch have been a major success since its inception in 2002 to both us and the children that have come out to be a part of it.
The Summer Camps were the company’s first venture and was a huge success. It was followed up in December of that year with a one-day camp and fun day, the camp continued in 2003 and surpassed its previous success.
1st Touch has been one of the main events of the company and focuses on developing the skill set of first time and advanced footballers between the ages of 3 and 16 years old. This initiative has grown tremendously and we have seen over 150 young persons both male and female come out for 1st Touch 2010. The football camps have become a way of life for many families as repeat campers come year after year and have been bringing their friends.
Based on the growth and development of the Ballaz Player Development Programme on Saturdays, our recognition that our players require more time in training sessions and the parental "out cry" for additional days and time at Ballaz. We have embarked upon an "after school programme" since April 2011, and this programme is currently being offered on Tuesdays between 3 -5 at our home field at Liberty Academy.
Our Saturday morning programme, the Ballaz Player Development Programme (PDP) has been a true success over the past years. It involves the introduction of football to children of ages 3 - 6 years old and the developmental training sessions to children of ages 7 – 16 years old. In addition to our football sessions, we also introduce necessary "life skills" that are "aligned" to various football skills.
The lives of many young people have been impacted, through technical training and life skills and we hope that through this programme we will be able to continue doing so.
Ballaz Player Development Programmes extends to pre-schools in the corporate area.
