LMH Publishing is the leading general book publisher in the Caribbean region. Located in Kingston, Jamaica, LMH Publishing has an overseas production office, handled by Zebra Productions, in New York City. The company has also over the years, forged some fruitful alliances with overseas publishers such as CASA Editrice Bonechi of Italy, with whom we have co-published one of the most successful travel books ever – Jamaica in Pictures.

 

We publish a wide variety of books in genres such as cookery, fiction, nonfiction, children’s, educational, travel and culture. We specialise in publishing books about the history, culture and the impact Jamaica has on the rest of the world, playing an integral and leading role in expanding the reach of the region’s literary exports. The company has an impressive catalogue of some 100 titles in print, with 10 to 15 new titles added each year.

 

LMH Publishing has a strong distribution network in Jamaica and the wider Caribbean –especially in, but not confined to Trinidad, Barbados, Antigua, Guyana, and The Bahamas – and handles the distribution of several titles not published by us. We also have a strong presence in the United Kingdom, where our titles are distributed by Turnaround Publisher Services, one of the UK’s largest and most prominent book distributors. LMH Publishing is also the distributor for the DVD of the critically acclaimed documentary film, Fire In Babylon, the story of the West Indies cricket team of the 70s and 80s; the most dominant team in the history of sports in the English-speaking Caribbean.

 

Formerly known as Kingston Publishers, which after being a leading publisher for thirty years was dissolved in 1999, LMH Publishing, built on the foundation of that historic legacy, continues to grow from strength to strength, even in these globally challenging times. We have sold the language rights of some of our titles such as Bob Marley: Reggae King of the World (Japanese), Marley & Me (Japanese) and Arch of Fire (German) as well as film rights –The Lunatic was a major motion picture.
